[ UPDATE 28/12/2020 22:30 ]: The Xiaomi Mi 11 features a “quad-curved” AMOLED display that does 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. More details here.

===

Xiaomi has already confirmed that the launch of the Mi 11 will be taking place on the 28th of December 2020, and we’ve already spotted the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone in some leaked images online. Expected specs include a Snapdragon 888 (a world first), as well as a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor—which should be the same one that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will use.

Plus, of course, the company has also alluded to the fact that they will not ship the Mi 11 with a charging adapter—just like a certain Cupertino-based company. And now, we have the clearest look yet at the Mi 11, thanks to leaked images of the company’s upcoming top-of-the-line device spotted on Weibo.

Have a look:

From what we can see, the Mi 11 will be available in four colours, and you can also see the 108MP camera housed in a module on the back of the device. Also, the renders seemingly reconfirm earlier information that the Mi 11 will feature a rather strange-looking triple-camera module on the back of the phone. Personally, I’m not really a fan of the bump, but we’ll have to see this in person before making any more judgements.

More images of the phone that supposedly depict it in real world usage have also popped up on Weibo—including one that shows off the “about phone” page on the phone. It looks like the Mi 11 will ship with Android-11 based MIUI 12, while you’ll have 12GB of RAM for your multi-tasking needs.

The final bit of information we’ve managed to glean pertains to the display of the phone. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed that the Mi 11 will feature Gorilla Glass Victus, which is supposed to be able to handle drops from up to two metres, with Lei Jun claiming that this will be the “most expensive and best screen” in Xiaomi’s mobile phone history. This is, after all, the toughest Gorilla Glass ever.

For now, Xiaomi has yet to reveal any info on pricing, but a price tag of around RM3,000–RM4,000 might not be too far off. In any case, we’ll have to wait for the 28th of December 2020 for more information. What do you think? Does the Mi 11 scratch your itch? Let us know in the comments section below.
