YTL Communications has introduced a Databack partnership with Shopee where Kasi Up users can earn extra free data when they shop online. This is essentially a ‘cashback’ in data format where users are rewarded with 5GB of data when they spend RM50 on Shopee.

According to YTL Communications Managing Director Dato’ Yeoh Seok Hong, the partnership with Shopee to give data back to the rakyat as they shop for their daily essentials is a further expression of its Kasi Up philosophy. He said the initiative is aimed at creating a virtuous cycle of consumption by making every ringgit the rakyat spends give much more value in return.

According to Shopee, the required RM50 minimum spend is applicable to all purchases on the platform and the redemption voucher will be pushed via the Shopee app at the end of the month. If you spend RM120 in December 2020, you will be rewarded with 10GB of free data in January 2021.

Shopee added that the voucher will be pushed automatically via notification and there’s no linking required. This Databack promo is available for both Yes Kasi Up postpaid and prepaid users. The redeemed free data will not increase your plan’s validity and you’ll need to maintain a minimum top up of RM15/month for Prepaid 15.

Customers are eligible to earn up to 100GB Databack each month. According to the T&C, the voucher code has a validity period of 4 months and the free data comes with a 30 day validity. If you are making multiple redemptions, the vouchers are stackable and will be utilised based on the order they are claimed.

Kasi Up Prepaid 15 SIM pack for RM1

For those who are interested to sign up, Yes is currently offering its Kasi Up Prepaid 15 SIM pack for only RM1. Valued at RM15, it comes pre-loaded with 10GB of data that’s valid for 30 days and the SIM will be delivered to you for free.

The Prepaid 15 plan comes with no speed cap and there’s no restriction on hotspot usage. If you need more data, users can top up 1GB for RM1. For those who need more data monthly, users can renew the plan with 20GB/month for RM20. Once you’ve hit your quota limit, the plan has basic internet which has a throttled speed of 128kbps.

To acquire more subscribers, Yes Kasi Up has an interesting referral program where users can earn up to RM50 per referral. The rewards will be given to both referrer and referee, and users are able to cash out their earnings to their bank account.
