Besides the Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21+, high resolution renders of the Galaxy S21 Ultra have also been revealed ahead of its official launch thanks to @evleaks. This is the highest model of the Galaxy S21 flagship series and it gets a sophisticated quad-camera array.
At the moment, the S21 Ultra appears to come in two colour – Silver and Black. For the premium price tag, the device still uses a glass back but it doesn’t seem to carry the same colour options as the S21 and S21+. Being an “Ultra” device, the rear gets a huge camera bump that has 5 cut outs and an LED flash. If you look closely, you’ll find four camera lenses and an extra sensor that’s likely used for Laser Autofocus.
It was previously speculated that the S21 Ultra will get a 108MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 10MP periscope telephoto camera with 10X zoom and another 10MP telephoto camera that can do 3x zoom.
While the renders show slight curvature on the edges of the display, it looks almost completely flat. According to Roland Quandt, the S21 Ultra will feature a 6.8″ display, which is slightly smaller than the 6.9″ Galaxy S20 Ultra, but it is said to retain a similar phone size.
Similar to its predecessor, the flagship device will use an AMOLED display and it is likely that it can push a resolution of Quad HD+. The device is also expected to push a maximum screen refresh rate of 120Hz but it isn’t clear if this is still limited to Full HD+ resolution.
We still don’t have the full details of its internal hardware specs. Based on the number of leaks that have surfaced online, it would just be a matter of time before everything that you’ll need to know will be revealed. Samsung is expected to launch the new Galaxy S series very soon and it is speculated to launch as early as 14th January 2021.
Similar to Apple, Samsung too is expected to ditch the charger and earphones for the Galaxy S21. If you currently don’t own a USB-C PD charger, you’ll have buy one separately. The original Samsung Super Fast Charge 25W power adapter is priced at RM129 with a USB-C to USB-C cable, while the wired USB-C earphones is currently going for RM99.
