Fuel prices in Malaysia are up for the coming week with an increase of 1 sen per litre for petrol and 5 sen per litre for diesel. The prices for both RON95 and RON97 petrol are still under RM2.00 per litre.
Below are the fuel prices for the period between 17th to 23rd October 2020:
RON95 – RM1.68/litre (+1 sen)
RON97 – RM1.98/litre (+1 sen)
Diesel – RM1.74/litre (+5 sen)
Diesel (Euro 5) – RM1.84/litre (+5 sen)
The price of fuel in Malaysia is calculated based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM). According to the Ministry of Finance, the adjustments in fuel prices reflect the changes in the pricing of refined oil products in line with the current global crude oil prices.
At the moment, CMCO has been enforced in several states including Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Sabah. During this period, interstate and interdistrict travel are not permitted at affected areas.
