The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is now officially available in Malaysia. This is Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone that runs on a highly requested Snapdragon 865 processor and it comes with a lower price tag.
Samsung Malaysia is offering the 5G version that comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. It’s officially priced at RM3,399 which is priced lower than the smaller Galaxy S20 LTE at the time of launch which only came with 128GB of storage.
The device is available in 6 colours – Cloud Orange, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy, Cloud White and Cloud Red. All colours are available except for Cloud Red which will be released in Malaysia from 22nd October onwards.
If you missed out on the pre-order promo, Samsung is still offering a Clear Standing Cover worth RM119 for those that pick up their new Galaxy 20 FE 5G. It’s available at Samsung Experience Stores or Samsung’s online store.
To recap on the specs, the Galaxy S20 FE gets a flat 6.5″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED display that pushes a high 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with 8GB RAM and it has 256GB of storage which is expandable via microSD.
For taking pictures, it gets a triple-camera setup at the rear that consists of a 12MP main, 12MP ultra-wide-angle and an 8MP telephoto camera that does 3x optical zoom. Upfront, the display gets a tiny punch-hole that houses 32MP selfie camera.
Powering the device is a 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging via USB-C. However, do note that Samsung is only bundling a 15W charging brick. Despite its lower price, the S20 FE still features stereo speakers, 5G connectivity, IP68 dust and water resistance plus support for Samsung Pay.
