Malaysia Airlines has introduced a new promo for domestic flights in Malaysia with fixed fares on all economy seats. The fixed fares are listed according to the flight sector and fare type which starts from RM179 one-way for the Lite fare for flights within Peninsular or within East Malaysia.

The fixed fare promo is available for booking from now until 13th September 2020 for the travel period from now until 16th December 2020. Malaysia Airlines offer 3 fare types which come with different check-in luggage allowance and rebooking reflexibility.

On the Lite fare, there’s no check-in allowance but you’re still permitted to bring a cabin baggage up to 7kg. For an extra RM20, the Basic option offers 20kg of check-in luggage and it allows one-time free rebooking change but you’ll have to pay for the fare difference if applicable.

The Flex option which costs RM60 extra from the Basic fare includes 35kg of check-in luggage, unlimited flight rebooking (subject to fare difference) and the option to request for refund without a fee. In addition, Flex fare passengers can enjoy additional perks such as priority check-in, boarding, baggage, free basic travel protection and 10% off the next flight purchase.

When we did a search, the advertised prices are all-in inclusive of taxes, fees and other airport charges. A return trip from Kuala Lumpur to Penang costs RM358.96 per person while a return trip from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu costs RM599.58.

According to the promo image, there are over 300,000 tickets available under the promo. For more info, you can visit Malaysia Airlines’ promo page.
