The Galaxy M series is Samsung’s affordable smartphone line up that’s often sold exclusively online. For its upcoming Samsung Galaxy M51, the new device is expected to come with an even larger battery and a more powerful mid-range Qualcomm processor that’s currently running on the Galaxy A71.

According to Sammobile, the new smartphone is likely powered by a 7,000mAh battery which is 1,000mAh more than the current Galaxy M31. To charge quickly, Samsung is expected to add support for 25W fast charging via USB-C like the latest Galaxy M31s that’s available in India. At 7,000mAh, this is even larger than the ROG Phone 3 and in theory, it should be able to provide days of battery life.

As speculated previously, the Galaxy M51 could be the first device to use OLED displays from a different supplier. The new phone is expected to pack a 6.65″ Full HD+ AMOLED panel that’s manufactured by TCL’s China Star Optoelectronics Technology.

Under the hood, the M51 is said to run on a Snapdragon 730 processor with 8GB of RAM which is significantly better than its current mid-range Exynos options. In the camera department, it will feature a 64MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. If it adopts a quad-camera array, it is likely that the other two cameras would be used for macro and depth sensing.

The Samsung Galaxy M51 is expected to launch in India and Russia as early as next month.

In Malaysia, the Galaxy M31 currently retails for RM1,099 while the M21 is going for RM899. Both comes with a 6.4″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 9611 processor and a 6,000mAh battery.
