If you’re interested in getting your hands on the OnePlus Nord, several retailers are now offering pre-order for the new premium mid-range smartphone. The Nord is expected to be priced from under RM2,000 and you’re likely to get it before Merdeka Day.

Retailers DirectD and Mobile2Go have posted online that they are accepting pre-orders for the OnePlus Nord that comes with official 1-year OnePlus Malaysia warranty. For the Malaysian market, we are getting 2 variants, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB of storage.

A couple of weeks back, retailer Gamers Hideout had started offering Nord pre-orders on its online store. Previously, it was indicated that the 128GB storage variant would be priced at RM1,799 while the 256GB storage option is going for RM2,099. When we reached out to Gamers Hideout, they told us that these are estimated pricing and it is close to the final retail prices.

To recap, the OnePlus Nord is OnePlus’ most affordable 5G smartphone. It gets a 6.44″ Full HD+ AMOLED display that pushes a 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 765G processor with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage which isn’t expandable.

For taking pictures, it shares the same quad-camera array as the OnePlus 8. There’s a 48MP f/1.75 Sony IMX586 main camera with OIS, an 8MP f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 5MP f/2.4 depth camera and a 2MP f/2.4 macro shooter. In front, the wide punch-hole houses a 32MP selfie camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

Powering the Nord is a 4,115mAh battery that supports 30W Warp charge via USB-C. The device supports 802.11ac WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, dual-frequency GPS and 5G with N1, N3, N7, N28 and N78 bands. The device comes in 2 colours – Blue Marble and Gray Onyx.
