[ UPDATE 18/7/2020 16:40 ]: We are told that the listed OnePlus Nord pricing on Gamers Hideout is just an estimate and it is close to the official retail pricing for Malaysia.
To secure a unit, you can place a RM200 deposit for the 8GB RAM + 128GB version or RM300 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB variant on the online store.

The OnePlus Nord is probably one of the most anticipated smartphones at the moment and it will be revealed next week on the 21st July 2020. Ahead of the official reveal, retailer Gamers Hideout has started offering pre-order for the new affordable OnePlus smartphone.
According to Gamers Hideout’s product page, the new phone will come in two RAM + storage configuration options and below is their listed pricing:
8GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM1,799
12GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM2,099
The device can be yours in either Gray Onyx or Blue Marble. If you’re interested, you can pre-order now with stocks are expected to arrive on the 18th August 2020. According to the fine print at the bottom of the page, there will be a RM50 fee for any cancellations for the pre-order. It is worth highlighting that it isn’t clear if this is an official local set with a local warranty or a grey import unit.
If you look closely, the product image on the website isn’t the same as the Nord that was revealed during the exclusive interview with MKBHD. The spec sheet even contains a couple of discrepancies.
On the product summary, it is written “6GB RAM + 128GB ROM” and “8GB RAM + 256GB ROM” which is different from the drop-down menu options. In addition, the spec-sheet on Gamers Hideout mentions a triple-camera setup but in reality, the Nord will come with a quad-camera setup.
As confirmed by OnePlus yesterday, the Nord will feature a 48MP Sony IMX586 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 5MP depth sensor and a macro shooter. In front, the screen has a wide punch-hole that houses a 32MP main selfie camera and an ultra-wide-angle shooter.
At the moment, OnePlus Malaysia has yet to provide any pricing and official availability details for the local market. However, Malaysians will soon be able to purchase OnePlus Malaysia official units through its new online store on Shopee.
