Apple releases second short film featuring ‘The Underdogs’ about working from home

A year ago, Apple released a 3-minute short film featuring four employees rushing to meet a deadline to promote the enterprise integration of iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Now, the same ‘Underdogs’ are back—this time to chase a deadline while working at home.

Running at almost 7 minutes, the second short film is even longer than the first. It also highlights how Apple’s hardware and software can help people working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s still a world of deadlines, meetings, group chats, conference calls, coworkers, and bosses. But it’s also a world of kids, a dog, and a hairless cat. And it’s a world where collaboration never misses a beat, whether the team uses iPad, iPhone, iMac, MacBook, or all of the above. Working from home (or working from anywhere) isn’t new, but what you can make happen together is,” said Apple.

This second short film continues the story of the ‘Underdogs’ after their first ‘big meeting’ with Vivienne in the first instalment. I can assume that their meeting went pretty well as they keep working with Vivienne to chase a deadline at their homes in this new instalment.

The characters are seen using Apple hardware such as AirPods, Mac, and Apple Watch. They also are seen using features like Face Time, Pages, and iMessage, as well as show the many challenges faced while working at home like interruptions by kids and pets, and remembering to wear pants during a video chat.

You can scroll back on top to watch the second short film, or click here to watch the first one if you haven’t yet.
