According to TM, the fire broke out at one of its nodes located at Seberang Jaya, Penang at around 00:07 on 1st July. Two fire engines were deployed from Seberang Jaya fire station and the fire was successfully controlled and extinguished. TM has added that the node is provides internet connectivity for its customers around Seberang Jaya and surrounding areas. On top of that, it also provides backhaul connectivity for mobile networks which appears to include Celcom. TM’s technical team is also working to restore affected services as soon as possible and they will provide more updates through its social channels.
