Economic Recovery Plan: Telcos to offer free data until 31 December

To help Malaysians to stay connected, the government has announced an extension for the free data initiative until the 31st of December 2020. According to the Prime Minister, the free 1GB data from mobile telcos is meant to help Malaysians access education, news and video conferencing services.

The free data offer from telcos is limited from 8am to 6pm daily. In addition, telcos must also provide unlimited access to COVID-19 related government websites and applications.
