Vivo Malaysia introduces cheaper V17 option, priced at RM1,299

Although the Vivo V19 is the latest V series smartphone at the moment, Vivo has just announced a cheaper variant for its previous generation V17. The original V17 that was launched for RM1,699 came with 256GB of storage and the new variant now comes with 128GB of storage.

The Vivo V17 128GB is officially priced at RM1,299 and it is now available on the Vivo online Store as well as on Lazada and Shopee. At the moment, it appears to be available only in Crystal White.

The rest of the specs remains unchanged. It has a 6.44″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen and it runs on a Snapdragon 675 processor with 8GB of RAM.

For taking pictures, it has a quad-camera setup that consists of a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, it has a 32MP punch-hole camera that sits on the top right corner of the screen.

Powering the V17 is a 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging via USB-C. Also retained is a 3.5mm headphone jack. To learn more, you can check out our unboxing of the Vivo V17 256GB version below:
