Snap a photo of your 2020 Raya celebrations, and you could get a Samsung 65″ 8K QLED TV

The upcoming festive season will certainly be a unique experience for many in Malaysia, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Samsung‘s Jimat, Snap & Menang campaign leverages off that, with a contest period from the 1st of May till the 7th of June 2020.

Prizes of up to RM424,000 include complimentary accessories when purchasing the Galaxy S20 and other select smartphone models, as well as the Samsung 65″ Q800T QLED 8K Smart TV. This is one of Samsung’s 2020 range of QLED TVs, and the 8K TV is worth RM22,999—something you might expect to pay for a budget vehicle, for some comparison.

To enter the contest, customers who buy one of the eligible Galaxy smartphone models from Samsung will need to snap a creative photo of their Raya celebrations this year. Entries can then be submitted here.

During the contest period, there are weekly prizes available, while a grand prize of Samsung’s 65″ Q800T 8K TV and RM500 in Boost credits will be announced on the 12th of June 2020.

Weekly prizes include the Samsung Powerstick Jet 90 Premium + RM300 Boost credits, Samsung’s Convection Microwave Oven 45L + RM100 in Boost credits, and consolation prizes of RM100 Boost credits. Weekly prize winners will be announced at the end of each week.

Additionally, customers can also get a RM300 discount by using the “HOME300” promo code, when purchasing select mobiel devices and a wearable with a single total bill of at least RM3,000. The model-specific promos are as follows:

Samsung’s 2020 Raya campaign, in essence, looks to capture the spirit of Raya, even with the “new normal” that Malaysians are embracing. The current Conditional Movement Control Order, of course, means that many Malaysians will be celebrating Raya 2020 in unique circumstances—similar to remote working setups, in fact.
