In addition to the Galaxy S26, Samsung has also launched its latest true wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro, to rival the likes of the AirPods and Pixel Buds.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 & Buds 4 Pro Malaysia: Pricing & promo details

Let’s first jump into the pricing details of the new Galaxy Buds 4 series:

  • Galaxy Buds 4 – RM699
  • Galaxy Buds 4 Pro – RM999

Pre-orders for the Galaxy Buds 4 series are now open, while general availability for the earbuds will begin on 11 March 2026. On top of that, Samsung is also offering the Galaxy Buds 4 series with a 10% duscount when you purchase them with any of Samsung’s Galaxy S or Z series smartphones currently on sale via their official retail platforms. You may learn more about the deal here.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 & Buds 4 Pro Malaysia: Fresh new looks, improved sound quality & battery life

What’s new, improved, or perhaps even downgraded in the new Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 series? To start, both the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro and the standard Galaxy Buds 4 adopt a redesigned stem that’s slimmer and flatter, now accented with a sleek metallic finish, which I personally find rather stylish looking.

Carrying over from last year’s Galaxy Buds 3 lineup, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 retain an open-style, semi-in-ear design, while the Buds 4 Pro continue to use rubber eartips for a better seal, resulting in stronger bass response and more effective noise cancellation.

Gesture controls also return, allowing you to pinch or slide along the stems to manage media playback, toggle active noise cancelling (ANC), adjust volume, and skip tracks. New this year, however, are head gestures, letting you nod or shake your head to manage calls and interact with your voice assistant hands-free.

On the audio front, the Buds 4 Pro receive a notable upgrade. Samsung has fitted them with speakers that are 20% larger for improved depth, bass, and overall richness. While both models feature 11mm drivers, the Pro variant steps up with a 2-way speaker system and a dedicated tweeter, compared to the 1-way speaker setup on the regular Buds 4. Both models support 24-bit/96kHz Hi-Fi audio as well as 360° Audio for a more immersive listening experience.

Noise control also sees improvements with enhanced adaptive ANC and adaptive EQ, which dynamically adjust based on your surroundings and listening habits.

Connectivity is updated to Bluetooth 6.1, and the earbuds are compatible with Samsung and other Android devices running Android 12 or newer, as well as iPhones—though certain advanced features may remain ecosystem-exclusive.

Battery life differs between the two models. The Buds 4 Pro pack 61mAh batteries in each earbud, paired with a 520mAh charging case, delivering up to 26 hours of total listening time with ANC enabled. The standard Buds 4 use smaller 45mAh batteries in each earbud and a 515mAh case (similar to last year’s Buds 3), but manage up to 30 hours of total listening time with ANC switched on when combined with the charging case.

Overall, the Galaxy Buds 4 series brings a refined design, smarter controls, and meaningful audio enhancements—particularly on the Pro model, while maintaining much of what worked well in the previous generation.
