As the nation is in its third day of the movement control order, only essential services are up and running in the country. Pharmacies, supermarkets, wet markets, ATM’s, clinics and banks are operating as usual but non-essential retail stores and such will remain closed. Food delivery is also available however dining outside is prohibited. But what happens to the online orders that were made before this restriction, will they get delivered?

Lazada has reiterated its responsibility to fulfil the customers’ expectation in a statement, “Lazada is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers and employees. We are taking necessary measures issued by the Malaysian government for the COVID-19 public health situation.”

Lazada is expected to work as usual however there will be slight delays in the delivery of the orders. They have given a guideline as to how to place orders now in this situation.

They have advised their customers to shop from home and use their home location as the delivery address. This is because most Lazada users, use their office for deliveries and since offices are shut it is best to just use the home address. Secondly, if the order has not been shipped yet, it is best to cancel it and place it again with the home address for delivery. Deliveries to office addresses will only take place after 1st April 2020.

For more information, check out Lazada’s information page or if you need assistance you can chat with their customer care team or CLEO chatbox.
