Samsung’s Galaxy S20 series, freshly launched, will officially be available in Malaysia on the 6th of March 2020. However, if you want to be one of the first people to own the phone, pre-orders from local telcos have now opened—although the offerings from each telco are markedly different.

We’ve talked about Maxis, Celcom, and Digi—let’s have a look at what Yes 4G has to offer for their Samsung Galaxy S20 pre-order:

Konfem Unlimited Talk

Unlike many of its competitors, Yes 4G only offers one plan for the series, the Konfem Unlimited Talk Postpaid 88, with the phone available as a standard device bundle on contract. All 3 models in the series are available for pre-order with Yes 4G: the Galaxy S20, S20+, and the S20 Ultra 5G.

With the Konfem Unlimited Talk Postpaid 88 plan, you get 50GB of data, with free unlimited calls to all networks along with unlimited texts to other Yes 4G lines. However, SMSes to other networks will cost RM0.09.

Samsung Galaxy S20

If you can pre-order the Galaxy S20 with 128GB of storage, the device price will be set at RM2,899 with a 24-month contract. However, do note that you’ll be required to give an upfront payment of RM200, which will be rebated back to you over a period of 23 months.

Monthly payment for the plan amounts to RM88, but as your upfront payment of RM200 is rebated back in the form of RM9 discounts over the first 22 months, and and a RM2 rebate for the 23rd month. This means that you’ll be paying RM3,099 up front for the device, although RM200 is then used to offset your monthly bill.

For some comparison, the official price of the Galaxy S20 is RM3,599, so that means that you’re getting the device at RM700 less than the official RRP.

Samsung Galaxy S20+

It’s pretty much the identical offer for the Galaxy S20+, although the device price here is RM3,299, along with the same RM200 upfront payment for the device. Again, this RM200 will be rebated over 23 months, with RM9 for the first 22 months and RM2 for the final, 23rd month.

All in all, you’ll be paying RM3,299 for the device, and including the upfront payment, RM3,499. The retail price for the Galaxy S20 is RM3,999, so you’re looking at a reduction of about RM700 if you pre-order the device under Yes 4G.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G

Same story for Samsung’s flagship offering in the range, the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. You’re tied to the same 24-month contract here, with RM88 for your subscription fee per month, with 50GB of monthly data and unlimited calls and unlimited texts to other Yes contacts.

Again, there is a RM200 upfront payment required, with a device price of RM3,799. Retail pricing is at RM4,999.
