Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite, S10 Lite, A71 & A51! | #ICYMI 262

There have been quite a number of developments on the local scene in recent days, so today’s episode of ICYMI is going to be a feature-packed one. 4—yes, 4 new smartphones from Samsung are arriving in Malaysia, and there have been some developments with regards to the Wuhan coronavirus. Ready? Let’s go.

Samsung Galaxy A51 & A71

Samsung’s new mid-range duo, the Galaxy A51 and A71 have arrived in Malaysia, with pre-orders to begin on the 3rd of February and official availability on the 7th of February. At RM1,299 and RM1,799 for the A51 and A71 respectively, they might just be an option for those of you who are looking for Samsung’s ecosystem features like Bixby, and crucially, Samsung Pay.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite & Note 10 Lite

Next up, the “budget” versions of Samsung’s flagships. The Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite have arrived in Malaysia, and they aren’t exactly cheap. The pre-order period is from the 3rd till the 5th of February, and the smartphones are officially available from the 7th of February.

Wuhan virus updates

The Wuhan coronavirus situation has some new developments, with an expert claiming that face masks are unnecessary in Malaysia—for now. Meanwhile, Singapore has banned visitors from China and foreigners who have been to mainland China recently, while Malaysia Airlines has assured the public that they have HEPA filters in place on their aircraft. Lastly, Apple has closed all of its Apple Stores and corporate offices in China, following in Google’s footsteps.
