The futuristic Samsung Galaxy Fold is officially coming to Malaysia very soon and you can preorder a unit on 9th October 2019. This is a flagship smartphone that can be transformed into a tablet thanks to its flexible display.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is officially priced at RM8,388 and we are getting the 4G variant. It supports two SIMs but the second line uses an eSIM instead of a physical nano sim card. As a comparison, the Galaxy Fold is priced at S$3,088 (about RM9,373) in Singapore and it sold out on the first day.

To secure your unit, you will need to pre-order on Samsung’s website and you can select your preferred outlet for collection. A RM800 reservation fee is required and customers can collect their Galaxy Fold from 16 to 31 October 2019.

To recap, the Galaxy Fold comes with a 4.6″ HD+ Super AMOLED display on the cover, while on the inside, it gets a 7.3″ QXGA+ Infinity Flex display. It runs on a Snapdragon 855 processor with 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage. The 4G version comes with a 4,380mAh battery.

The device supports Samsung Pay and has a pair of stereo speakers. However, do note that it doesn’t come with any dust and water resistance rating.

It supports wireless charging as well as 15W fast wired charging via USB-C. Also included in the box is a pair of Galaxy Buds.

All Galaxy Fold units will come with a Galaxy Fold Premier Service which includes a 24/7 Premium Careline, free on-site pickup and delivery for service support within 12 months of purchase, priority Express lane at Service Centre and one screen protection which consists of 1-time inner screen crack replacement within 12-months of purchase.

If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check out our unboxing and hands-on video below:
