ROG Phone II with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage will be priced under RM4,000

The ROG Phone II with Asus warranty is officially coming to Malaysia very soon. Authorised reseller, DirectD had started to accept pre-registration of interest and the device is now expected to arrive around the end of September 2019. Before Asus Malaysia announces the device, we now have more details of its offered variants and local pricing.

For Malaysia, we are told that Asus will be bringing two variants and both of them will come with 12GB of RAM. The 512GB storage version is said to be priced at RM3,XXX while the larger 1TB option is going for RM4,XXX. Obviously, it is more expensive than the Tencent Games edition from China.

As a comparison, the first-gen ROG Phone was priced at RM3,499 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version and RM3,999 for the 8GB RAM + 512GB storage model. Assuming that the 512GB version is priced at RM3,999, this is still quite a bargain considering it has a 120Hz AMOLED display, a faster 2.96GHz Snapdragon 855+ processor and it packs a huge 6,000mAH battery. According to DirectD, the official price will be revealed sometime next week and customers can book by placing a RM300 deposit.

You can learn more about the ROG Phone II in our announcement post. For those who can’t wait, retailer Mobile2Go is offering the ROG Phone II import set at RM2,998 that comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.
