iPad Mini 2019 unboxing

So last week we’ve talked about the iPad Air 2019 and I was pretty impressed of what it has to offer. For a starting price of RM2,199, you will be able to get a 10.5” display, a capable processor and it also supports both Apple Pencil as well as Smart Keyboard.

But apart from the iPad Air 2019, Apple has also revived its compact iPad Mini 2019 those who are looking for a smaller tablet. So let’s check out what’s inside the box!

Inside the box, you will be greeted with the usual stuff. There’s the iPad Mini itself, a lightning cable as well as a 10W adapter.

The iPad mini I have with me is the Space Grey version and it comes with 256GB of internal storage. It also supports Wifi and cellular, so that means you can actually add a SIM card into this device.

At the back you will also find a shiny Apple logo as well as an 8MP rear camera that sits right above the top left corner.

This is the fifth generation iPad Mini and it is basically a smaller version of the iPad Air 2019 if you are someone who likes a more compact device. And the design is actually pretty similar to the iPad Mini from 2015. The front is still made out of glass and the back is made from aluminium.

The iPad Mini features a 7.9″ Retina display and just like the iPad Air 2019, this device also has True Tone technology.

The biggest upgrade for this iPad mini is definitely it’s performance. It is extremely smooth and snappy because it uses Apple’s latest A12 Bionic chip, which is the same processor that you will find on the latest iPad Air 2019, iPhone XS, XS MAX as well as the XR.

This time around the iPad Mini also supports the first generation Apple pencil. That means you will now have the leverage to write notes, draw and navigate and move around with the Apple Pencil.

Unfortunately, unlike the iPad Air 2019, the iPad Mini does not support Smart Keyboard, so that means you will have to use the on screen keyboard. But if you really need a physical keyboard, you can always use a third party Bluetooth keyboard.

Now, let’s talk about its price. The iPad Mini has a starting price of RM1,699 and you fancy the Apple Pencil, you can get it at the price of RM419.

What do you think about the iPad Mini? Let me know in the comments below.
