Case maker reveals design for the Galaxy S10 and S10+

Samsung Galaxy S10 Olixar case

As we get closer to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10, it isn’t surprising to find leaks from case makers. For those who are still wondering what the next Galaxy S flagship will look like, Olixar has dropped a couple of renders of their casings for the Galaxy S10 and S10+.

For 2019, Samsung is expected to release three models – the Galaxy S10 Lite, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+. The Galaxy S10 Lite will come with a 5.8″ screen, while the standard Galaxy S10 will be slightly bigger at 6.1″. Meanwhile, its top of the line Galaxy S10+ is expected to come with a 6.4″ screen, which is the same size as the Galaxy Note9.

Looking at the renders, the Galaxy S10 series will come with a horizontal camera placement similar to the Galaxy Note8 and Note9. The top of the line Galaxy S10+ is shown with a quad-camera setup at the back while the front gets a dual-camera selfie shooter on the top right corner.

As confirmed earlier, Samsung will still retain a headphone jack as seen via the cutout hole at the bottom. The lack of a fingerprint sensor at the rear also indicates that Samsung is finally introducing an in-display fingerprint sensor on the upcoming flagship.

For the standard Galaxy S10, there are no surprises here as the render indicates a single selfie camera on the display. Just like the Galaxy S10+, it also gets a dual-curved display.

Meanwhile, the rear is getting a triple-camera setup instead of four and it is still arranged in a horizontal layout.

Interestingly, GSMArena had also shared alleged case images for Olixar’s Galaxy S10 Lite but it looks identical to the standard Galaxy S10. This could be a mistake since the S10 Lite is expected to come with a flat display while the typical power button on the right side is replaced by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor like the Galaxy A7.

This isn’t the first time we are seeing clear leaks from case makers. Olixar had previously leaked the design of the Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy Note8 ahead of launch.

At one point, Spigen was even more daring and they had started selling cases for the Galaxy Note7 even before the device was officially announced. The mock-up of the device might not be entirely accurate but the cutouts for the camera, buttons and ports should be right on the dot.
