OPPO F5 Youth: The more affordable “Full View” selfie smartphone lands in Malaysia this weekend

OPPO Malaysia has finally announced their brand new OPPO F5 Youth smartphone which will be hitting the market early this December.

The F5 Youth in a nutshell, is like a more affordable version of the Oppo F5, albeit with some slightly dumbed down specs. Under the hood, the device sports 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage that is mated to a 16nm octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 processor and it runs on ColourOS 3.2. For the display, the device has a 6-inch 2160×1080 resolution FHD+ screen. Made for those who want to take good selfies, it also has a 16MP front selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 13MP f/2.2 rear snapper. As a comparison, the original OPPO F5 gets a 20MP f/2.0 selfie camera and a 16MP f/1.8 main shooter.

The device also features built-in A.I Beauty Recognition technology and beautification features to take enhanced, natural looking selfies and attractive photos in general.

The OPPO F5 Youth is available in Black and Gold, and retails for RM1,098, set to hit the market on December 2nd. You can get it now on OPPO’s official store on Lazada. If you would rather pick up its better specced sibling instead, the OPPO F5 6GB is up for preorder very soon.
