Looks like Asus has finally jumped on the 18:9 display bandwagon and has just announced their first smartphone to feature such a screen.
Named the Asus Pegasus 4S, the new device sports a 5.7″ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, and 720 x 1440 resolution. The Pegasus 4S is also home to very thin bezels, a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750T processor and a pretty huge 4,030 mAh battery. Out back you’ll find a dual camera setup that uses a 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel camera, on top of a fingerprint sensor.
As for the RAM, you get two choices, a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage or 4GB RAM and 64GB storage as options.
Hardware-wise, Asus included a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750T processor, coupled with either 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, or 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The back side features a dual-camera setup comprising of 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras. There’s also a fingerprint sensor set below the cameras.
Last but not least, the phone will come with Android 7.0 Nougat along with dual-SIM support.
The Pegasus 4S will unfortunately only be available in China in Gold or Star Black, starting November 9th. No word if the phone will be released outside of China but we’re sure you should be able to get your hands on one via grey importers.
