HTC’s U11+ will have a translucent variant

We’re but a few days away from HTC‘s big November 2 event, and its looking like the HTC U11+ is getting a rather special variant.

The HTC U11+ (or U11 Plus) has some rather novel features, one of which being a 6″ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and practically nonexistent bezels. However, it looks like the phone is going to get even more interesting with a rather rare colour variant, translucent.

According to leakster Evan Blass, the device will come in three colour versions; with translucent being one aside from black and silver. We’re not too sure what the new colour will appear to be though, as translucent hints at it being well, see-through, but at the same time it could just be a fancy name for a colour that won’t actually let us see the phone’s guts.

In terms of specs, it would retain similar internals as the U11. The U11+ is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Being a phablet, it also comes with a larger 3,930mAh battery along with IP68 water resistance.

Either way, the teaser image seems to show a slightly transparent rear shell so it might actually be translucent, but we’ll have to see when the device finally gets announced in a couple of days.
