Xiaomi Mi 5X Dual-Camera smartphone

The Mi 5X is a rumour no more. Xiaomi has just posted a teaser image which confirms their upcoming Mi 5X smartphone that features dual-cameras at the rear.

Kris Wu, a former member of boy band EXO appears to be the ambassador for this new device and it will be officially revealed next week on 26 July. According to Xiaomi, the Mi 5X will be bundled with their latest MIUI 9 skin that’s based on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The full specs are not revealed yet but it is expected to be a mid-range device that’s pretty close to the current Redmi Note 4. The Mi 5X is purported to have a 5.5″ Full HD display and it runs on a Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB of RAM. Apparently, there will be a higher spec model that comes with a newer Snapdragon 660 processor and 6GB of RAM.

Looking at the picture above, it does resemble closely to a OnePlus 5 or an OPPO R11. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is their first flagship with a dual-camera setup which uses the second lens for telephoto. If you’re looking for an affordable dual-camera alternative, the Mi 5X could be it.
