Initially available only for Maybank VISA card holders, Malaysian Samsung Pay users will soon be able to cards issued from other banks and networks.
From the event poster above, Samsung Pay will finally accept both Mastercard and Visa cards issued by CIMB, Citi, Maybank and Standard Chartered. Unlike other mobile payment systems, Samsung Pay uses both NFC and MST technology which allows it to be compatible with more card terminals include those without NFC/PayWave.
For better security, Samsung Pay uses both fingerprint or PIN authentication before a transaction can be made.
