The French businessman was caught cheating by his other half when she began receiving notifications about his Uber trips.

It all began when the man had logged on to the Uber app using his wife’s phone and although he had reportedly logged out, his wife continued to receive notifications on his Uber trips due to a bug in the app.

She was able to put the pieces together and discover that he was having an affair with another woman.

The couple have since been divorced and the company could now face a EUR45million (about RM212million) lawsuit. The unnamed man’s lawyer has blamed a bug in the app to have caused the mishap.

French newspaper, Le Figaro had successfully replicated the bug on the iPhone version and found out that Android versions of the app were not affected.

Uber France however has refused to comment on the case telling the above mentioned newspaper: “Uber does not publicly comment on individual cases, including the case of divorce proceedings between spouses.”
