Meizu MX6 is now on sale in Malaysia

The Meizu MX6 which was announced a couple months ago is finally here in Malaysia. It’s an budget friendly flagship alternative that runs on MediaTek’s Deca-Core Helio X20 processor.

Over at the front, the MX6 features a 5.5″ Full HD display and it comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which isn’t expandable. It also gets an mTouch 2.1 fingerprint scanner which unlocks in 0.2 seconds.

Photography is handled by a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor that boasts a 1.25 micron pixel size with an f/2.0 aperture. It also gets a dual-tone LED flash and it is assisted with PDAF for quicker focus. Over at the front, it has a 5MP f/2.0 camera with built-in beautification features.

The MX6 gets a decently sized 3,060mAh battery which is non-removable and it charges via USB Type-C. Recharging it from zero to full takes just 75 minutes with its mCharge charger that peaks at 12V 2A. This is a dual-SIM device and it supports 4G LTE bands on both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE along with VoLTE. Out of the box, it runs on Android Marshmallow with its proprietary FlymeOS interface.

The Meizu MX6 is officially priced at RM1,299 which is pretty close to its China pricing of 1,999CNY (about RM1,239). If you’re looking for something else, the SHARP Z2 packs similar specs for RM1,199.
