OPPO is known for its insanely fast charging tech and they have recently extended this feature to its related OnePlus brand. Introduced as Dash Charge, OnePlus reckons that you can charge its new OnePlus 3 smartphone for a day’s worth of power with just a quick 30-minute charge.

To show off its charging speeds, OnePlus has released a comparison video against the Galaxy S7. Check out the video after the break.

From a base 1% battery life remaining, they charge up both devices at the same time with the screen switched off. After 30 minutes, the OnePlus 3 had gotten 64% charge while Samsung’s Galaxy S7 has done 50%. With the screen switched on, you can see that the OnePlus 3 replenishes almost 3X quicker than the Galaxy S7.

However as pointed out by one of the video comments, the Galaxy S7 had WiFi switched on which may affect its charging times slightly. In terms of specs, OnePlus Dash Charge pushes up to 5V 4A while Samsung’s Adaptive Fast Charger does up to 9V 1.67A. Both the Galaxy S7 and OnePlus 3 have similar battery capacities at 3,000mAh.

Is fast charging a big deal for you? And would you spend more to get a powerbank with fast charging? Let us know in the comments below.
