HTC is still pumping out new versions of the One M9

So the HTC 10 has been out for quite some time now and it’s been getting pretty good feedback. However, it seems that the Taiwanese company isn’t done rehashing their old One M9 smartphones. Here’s their latest rendition — the One M9+ Prime Camera Edition.

his isn’t the first Prime Camera Edition (PCE) of the One M9 either, this time, HTC have decided to tack the PCE badge onto their One M9+ instead. Of course, don’t confuse this device with the One M9+ Supreme Camera edition, because that’s not confusing at all.

In terms of specifications, the 5.2-inch One M9+ PCE will feature a Full HD display and be powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 processor mated to 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. 16GB of internal storage is rather small but the good news is that you can expand that via a microSD card slot up to 2TB.

As you move on to the camera aspect of the One M9+ Prime Camera Edition, you will find that the new handset sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with OIS, an f/2.0 aperture with a laser autofocusing system. It is worth noting that while their spec sheet states that it’s a 13MP shooter, the feature rundown on the site mentions a 20-megapixel camera. Err, oops? On the front, it gets an UltraPixel selfie camera.

The handset will come running Android (said to be 5.0 Lollipop) with HTC’s Sense UI running on top. Keeping the device powered is a 2,840 mAh battery and for added security, the M9+ PCE will also feature a front-mounted fingerprint sensor. This device is currently available in India for a price of INR23,999 (around RM1,470). While the device isn’t officially up for purchase yet on HTC’s website, some Indian third-party retail outlets have begun selling it.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough HTC One M9/M9+’s to last a lifetime.
