We already have quite a few details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8, from its specs down to its almost bezel-less design. Now the ultra-thin phone is potentially launching sometime next week and apparently already has pricing to boot.
The original details for the launch and price were spotted on suning, but the details on the page seems to have since disappeared.
Regardless, the Galaxy A8 is set to make its official entry into the Chinese market on the 17th July, with a €439 (about RM 1840) price tag. As for the specs, the phone has an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor mated to 2GB RAM under the hood, alongside 16GB expandable storage up to 128GB via micro SD card.
It will also have a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display at 1080p, powered by a 3,050mAh battery. The camera combo here would be a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front snapper, which is squeezed into the phone’s tiny 5.94mm frame by using a thinner ISOCELL sensor. The rear camera will have an aperture of f/1.9 and real-time HDR like the Samsung Galaxy S6. You will also find a fingerprint sensor embedded in its home button like the Galaxy S6 as well.
In terms of looks, it does share a lot in common with the S6, and will be available in similar black, gold and white colour variants. We don’t know yet if we will be getting a local launch for this product but if we do, you’ll be hearing from us soon enough.
