Sony’s “Live Streaming” app will allow gamers to stream to YouTube and Twitch from their mobiles

Good news for mobile gamers on Android, Sony has announced an app that now allows you to stream your games live to Twitch and YouTube.

As part of a partnership with Twitch, Sony has enabled their newer, Snapdragon 810 powered devices, namely the Xperia Z3+ /Z4, Xperia Z4v or Xperia Z4 tablet to stream directly to both said platforms. The app brings integrated in-device broadcasting to said phones, and with 35 million installations of the Twitch viewing app so far, this will only add to the viewership.

The streaming app is very similar to the record screen feature we’ve already seen on the Sony Xperia Z3 in terms of the interface and to an extent, its functions. However, you will still need a compatible Sony device to run this so its sadly not an app everyone will get to use.

While the app isn’t yet available in our country, should you have an APK downloader (and the necessary phone to run it)  you can grab the Live Screen Streaming app here if you want to give it a go, or maybe even try out the Twitch app instead.
