According to Bloomberg, the next gen Apple iPhone is already in the works, with the company expected to unveil the phones sometime this September.
The upcoming iPhones are rumoured to feature Force Touch-capable displays, which are currently present on the Apple Watch and the 12 inch Macbook. The tech basically allows users to access functions based on the pressure they apply on the screen or trackpad. The phones are also said to have the same design as the iPhone 6, which is unsurprising given that Apple doesn’t seem interested in changing their design any time soon.
Apple however did mention that the phone will have better and tougher aluminium for its chassis compared to the iPhone 6, which is likely to mitigate the Bendgate issue.
The devices are expected to come in the same 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch variants as the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, with manufacturing to ramp into full gear starting next month.
