ASUS has just introduced the VivoWatch at Milan Design Week, its second wearable after introducing the ZenWatch last year. As reported earlier, ASUS was looking at developing a new watch with significant battery life and the new VivoWatch claims to offer up to 10 days of usage on a single charge.

For the new watch, details are quite scarce and the VivoWatch is said to be a fitness centric device which comes with heart rate and sleep monitoring capabilities. It also gets IP67 rated dust and water resistance, and it utilises a touch-enabled monochrome display that’s accompanied with an indicator light. Feature wise, you can expect it to be more basic than the original ZenWatch but its 10 days battery life puts it on par with Pebble’s new Time Steel. From the looks of it, the extra long battery life was made possible with a energy efficient proprietary operating system instead of Android Wear.

As comparison, the first ZenWatch that runs on Android Wear gets just 1-2 days of battery life and unfortunately ASUS isn’t bringing this into Malaysia. So far ASUS has yet to reveal any pricing and availability details of the VivoWatch at the moment.

Check out the VivoWatch in action after the break.
