The Apple Watch will be launching in a scant few weeks time, but for all you are paying for it will it actually stand up to everyday damage the way Apple says it will? granted it’s made of sapphire glass but wait till you see how much of a beating it takes, thanks to the guys behind iPhonefixed who take the Watch’s glass panel and proceeds to rub it against a brick wall, key it, whack it with a hammer and ultimately use a power drill on it.
If the test is legit, this is definitely a huge plus point towards the Apple Watch in terms of durability. There are 3 Apple Watch versions – The Apple Watch Sports, Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition. Only the more expensive Apple Watch and Apple Watch Editions are using Sapphire glass, while its cheaper Apple Watch Sports uses strengthened Ion-X glass.
