U Mobile offers ultra-thin OPPO R5 from RM399

If you’re looking the ultimate in slimness, the OPPO R5 smart phone with its ultra-thin 4.85mm profile is now available on contract with U Mobile. Priced at RM1,598 outright, it can be yours from as low as RM399 with its U Plus postpaid plan. Similar to its Galaxy A5 offering, existing U Mobile postpaid subscribers of at least 6 months will get to enjoy extra price reduction with its Loyalty Rewards offer.

The full bundled pricing are as follows:

U Plus (RM138/month – 5GB) – RM399 (RM0 – Loyalty Offer)
U88 (RM88/month – 3GB) – RM899 (RM699 – Loyalty Offer)
U58 (RM58/month – 2GB) – RM1,099 (RM949 – Loyalty Offer)

All plans are tied with a 24 month contract duration and during sign up, you are required to fork out between RM348-RM1104 depending on plan as advance payment. This can be waived for U88 and U Plus if you take up its credit card direct debit payment option.

To recap on the specs, the OPPO R5 features a 5.2″ Full HD Super AMOLED display and it runs on an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of storage which is non-expandable, a 13MP Sony BSI main camera, front 5MP selfie cam and a 2,000mAh capacity battery. It supports 4G LTE and OPPO’s famed VOOC rapid charge.
