Pre-order for Sony Xperia Z3 has started in Malaysia

The new Sony Xperia Z3 is arriving sooner than we think as pre-orders for the latest waterproof flagship has started online. Retailing at RM2,399, the Sony Xperia Z3 is now offered at RM2,299 on StoreKini and RM2,259 on IPMart. All colours will be available including its new Silver Green and Copper. This is could be the first time Sony is releasing a smart phone faster than Samsung.

To recap on the specs, the Xperia Z3 is an improvement over its previous Xperia Z2 with faster 2.5GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and it now comes with a refreshed exterior design with curved frames. It has a 5.2″ Full HD display, dual front stereo speakers, 16GB of storage that’s expandable with microSD and it now uses nano-SIM.

While the rest of the specs look similar on paper, the 20.7MP camera on the Xperia Z3 is a new unit which boast a higher ISO 12800 and wide 25mm lens. In addition to that, recording videos is much more stable thanks to its SteadyShot with Intelligent Active mode.

Despite a reduction of its battery from 3,200mAh to 3,100mAh, Sony is boasting up to 2 days of battery life thanks to its energy efficient tweaks on the display. From our recent experience, we managed to get nearly 34 hours of usage with more than 5 hours of on-screen time, which is quite impressive.

If you’re interested, head over to StoreKini or IPMart. To get to know the Xperia Z3 better, do check out our first impressions and watch our hands-on after the break.
