The Moto X is Motorola’s top of the line offering but it comes with just 2,200mAh capacity battery that’s non-removable. If you need more juice without carrying a bulky power bank, Mugen Power has introduced a new 2,800mAh capacity power case, giving your device a total capacity of 5,000mAh at your disposal. The case is quite rugged too which doubles up as extra protection for the smart phone.
The good news doesn’t just end there. The case also comes with an extra microSD slot which is pretty convenient considering the Moto X lacks expansion memory slot.
According to the description, it is recommended that you run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and above as the built-in microSD slot would be easily recognised from any file manager app. This shouldn’t be an issue considering Android 4.4.4 update has been rolled out recently.
However take note that the extra storage shouldn’t be considered as a permanent storage solution for your smart phone. From the description, you have the option to use either Charge or microSD card at any given time. So it looks like you can consider this as an ad-hoc backup storage as the card will be disconnected when you try to charge your Moto X. Mugen has also given a warning not to immediately switch from Charge to Card immediately as failing to switch it off temporarily will render the memory slot inaccessible until the Moto X is rebooted.
