Update: It looks like we’ve been deceived. The powerbank offered by IPMart looks exactly like the Mi Powerbank but it almost certainly is not. Initially, we had been led to believe that it is from Xiaomi because the link provided by IPMart via its Facebook page — the same one we used in this post — had included the Xiaomi Mi 10400 Powerbank name. IPMart have since edited their Facebook page and removed the name.

Currently Xiaomi deals direct with customers via its online store or through operators which means you can only get Xiaomi products either from their website or from telcos. Xiaomi products purchased from other sellers are very likely grey imports or in the case of the powerbank from IPMart, is likely to be imitation. So make sure you know what you’re getting before you make the purchase.

If you missed out on the latest batch of the 10,400mAh Mi Powerbank don’t worry because tomorrow the same powerbank will be available for purchase from online electronics retailer IPMart for one day only. On top of that IPMart is offering the powerbank in a number of colours for you to choose. The colour option add RM3 on top of the Mi Powerbank standard price — RM39 for colour versus RM36 for standard aluminium.

IPMart will be selling powerbanks that looks like the Mi Powerbank from midnight tonight. They powerbank offered by IPMart have the same capacity as the Mi Powerbank (10,400mAh) and come in various colour and is being sold for RM39 a piece.

The sale starts midnight at ipmart.com.my. The direct link will go live at sale time.
