Samsung Galaxy S5 to get Android 4.4.3 update this month?

Samsung Galaxy S5

The latest Android 4.4.3 update is now available for the latest range of Moto and Nexus devices. For other Android devices, it usually take months as each manufacturer had to rework based on their customised skin and UI features.

Now an alleged leak suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be getting the update within this month. The document which lists out a software update test report has listed both SM-G900F and SM-G900H with June as the ETA date for the latest Android 4.4.3 update. For Malaysia, we are having the SM-G900F unit which is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 processor.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S4 4G LTE-A edition (GT-i9506) is listed as well with July as the targeted date. If this is true, we can expect both Galaxy S4 models (GT-i9500 and GT-i9505) in Malaysia to receive the update shortly after that. For now the so called leak has yet to be verified but since Android 4.4.3 is just a minor update, rolling out should be easier compared to major upgrades from (4.3) Jelly Bean to (4.4.2) KitKat
