ASUS has been in the forefront of making hybrid devices with the Transformer Tablet and PadFone series. While this solution offers a seamless transition between different use modes, the combination of the tablet and keyboard is quite bulky which can be even heavier than Ultrabooks today.
For 2014, ASUS is releasing a new PadFone and this time the docking keyboard is making a come back, allowing a laptop-like experience. ASUS has also hinted that the new PadFone will be much thinner than before and this made possible with a simpler wireless keyboard design without extra batteries and ports.
So it’s gonna be a laptop, tablet and phone in one thin solution. Will it blend? All shall be revealed on Monday at Computex.
