Commenter, Ajax, informed us that a reseller has already started taking pre-orders and revealed the pricing for the HTC One X on LowYat.net a full two weeks ahead of the HTC One series regional launch planned for the end of this month in Singapore. The reseller has also revealed the pricing for the HTC One V and he claims the device will be available by the end of March.
The reseller claims that the HTC One X will retail for RM2,099 and the One V will sell for around RM1,099 to RM1,199. There’s also talk of the HTC One X being bundled with a pair of Beats headphones but at the moment, all these are of course still unconfirmed.
But if the pricing is indeed true, the HTC One X will certainly be a hot seller with its 1.5Ghz Tegra 3 “4-PLUS-1” quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, a large 32GB of on-board storage and an improved 8MP rear camera with backlit sensor and HTC ImageSense image enhancement technology. You also get Android 4.0 right out of the box, Beats Audio sound enhancement and NFC all in a sleek polycarbonate unibody shell. There is a lot to like about the HTC One X.
On the other hand, we think that the RM1,099 to RM1,199 pricing for the HTC One V is rather steep considering you only get a 1Ghz single-core processor with 512MB RAM, 5MP camera and a paltry 4GB of on-board storage space. If One V retails for RM900 or less, it would be a strong contender thanks to its long list of extras like Android 4.0 right out of the box, a premium aluminium unibody construction, HTC’s ImageSense technology and Beats Audio.
Let’s see if our first encounter with the One V at the launch will change our minds.
