The Dell XPS 13 in its hybrid 2-in-1 form has finally arrived in Malaysia. Introduced earlier at CES 2017, this is one of the world’s smallest 13 inch 2-in-1 laptop and it comes with a QuadHD+ Infinity Edge display.

The touch-enabled edge to edge 13″ IPS display pushes a 3200×1800 pixels resolution with a screen brightness of 400-nit. Using 360-degree hinges, you can fold the XPS 13 2-in-1 up to a total of 4 different modes.

In terms of build, the XPS 13 2-in-1 is rather premium. It uses aluminium for its lid and underside, while the keyboard panel is made of carbon fibre. For better durability, the screen is also protected by Gorilla Glass. Overall, the laptop is only 13.7 mm thin and it weighs just 1.24kg.

Under the hood, you get a choice between Intel’s 7th Generation Core i5 and i7 processors along with Intel HD Graphics 615. However, take note that the processors are from Intel’s low-powered Y-series instead of the more powerful U series. As a result, it’s also quieter to run thanks to its fanless design.

In terms of options, you can get LPDDR3 RAM up to 16GB and PCIe SSD storage up to 512GB. The built-in 4-Cell (46Whr) battery is rated to last up to 8 hours and 35 minutes for productivity apps or up to 7 hours 12 minutes of Netflix video streaming.

If you’re interested, the XPS 13 2-in-1 is priced from RM6,699 for the Core i5 7Y54 (up to 3.2GHz) model with 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 256GB SSD. If you need more power, the i7-7Y75 (up to 3.6GHz) version with 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 512GB SSD is going for RM7,799 while the 16GB LPDDR3 RAM + 512GB SSD variant is going for RM7,999. All three models are available now through Dell’s online store and authorised resellers in Malaysia.

From now until 30 April, each customer will get a Dell DA200 Adapter USB Type-C worth RM319 and a chance to win a new Dell S2718D Infinity Edge monitor worth RM2,999.
