The LG G6 will be revealed at MWC 2017 that’s happening end of this month. Ahead of the launch, we now get a sneak peek thanks to a leaked image of its back.
Similar to its current LG G5, the new G6 will still feature dual cameras at the back with a fingerprint sensor underneath it. It is likely to retain the same camera setup of a having normal lens and a secondary lens for wide angle shots. Instead of going for an all metal body construction, the new model appears to be using glass that’s curved on all 4 edges. This is quite similar to HTC’s new U series. In case you missed it, LG will be ditching its modular smartphone design for this new flagship model.
To recap, the LG G6 will be sporting a phablet sized 5.7″ Quad HD display in a compact body. This is made possible with its rather odd 18:9 display aspect ratio which makes the device taller than usual. It will be water resistant and is set to run on last year’s Snapdragon 821 processor that’s powering the Pixel XL and OnePlus 3T smartphones.
The big reveal is happening on the eve of MWC 2017 and you can count on us for the latest updates from Barcelona.
