Mobile phones today, even the cheapest ones can keep good time but that’s not stopping the haves from buying expensive timepieces. Well why not combine the two and create the ultimate in spending absurd amounts of money on the seemingly most mundane things.

Ladies and gents we give you the Celsius X VI II mobile phone. This US$300,000 (or about RM950,000) gem of device combines the beautifully complicated movement of a completely exposed tourbillion watch with the functionality of an everyday mobile phone.

The unbelievably expensive flip phone also features a hinge that harnesses and stores the kinetic energy created when the phone is opened and closed. In terms of the phone, the specs look like it came from the early 00s. For your cool RM950k you get a 2.5G phone with Bluetooth 1.2, a 2.2in (320x240px) QVGA AMOLED screen and a 3.2MP camera, and that’s about it.

The phone will run be manufactured in very limited numbers with two versions. One with made out of one piece titanium with ebony inserts — only 18 will be produced. The other will feature the same titanium case but have carbon fibre inserts — 28 to be made.

If you’re itching to get one click on the link.
