The Galaxy Note 5 won’t be getting an “edge” sibling this time around but instead Samsung will be releasing a Galaxy S6 edge+, which is basically a bigger version of the S6 edge. Now a purported dummy phone of the S6 edge+ has appeared and with no surprises, it looks like a stretched S6 edge.

As you would expect, it has the same exterior design with its 5.1″ standard edge model including a double curve screen at the front. When compared to the Galaxy Note 4, it does look larger than its purported 5.3-5.4″ display size. The Galaxy Note 4 gets a 5.7″ Quad HD AMOLED display and judging from the picture above, the S6 edge+ might be having a similar screen size.

Looking at the sides, the metal frame looks thicker than the standard S6 edge. With a bigger screen, the S6 edge+ is expected to get a larger which is likely to be 3,000mAh or more. Meanwhile the rest of the device is likely to be unchanged with a similar Exynos 7420 Octa-Core processor, 3GB of RAM and 16MP + 5MP camera combinations.

The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ are expected to be announced on 12th August with global sales to start from as early as 21st August. If you’ve been buying a Note series for its flagship big screen experience, are you willing to lose the S-Pen and go for the S6 edge+ instead?
