Swype is an effortless way to type as you simply just swipe across the letters instead of typing individual keys. For those who prefer the traditional tapping method, SwiftKey had is own clever word prediction feature where it predicts your next likely word instantly. Now Swype for Android is taking its speed input capabilities up a level with a new 2 word prediction. So if you type “How”, it will suggest “are you” or “are things” and it learns to pick up more words, the more you use it.

This comes with the latest Swipe 1.9 and there are other new features as well. The prediction now works with symbols and numbers, so if you can type on the keyboard based on its secondary value (that’s usually typed with a long press) and it will turn up as a suggestion. This saves time switching to symbol/number view or individually long pressing the secondary keys. The update also brings Chines text prediction through the cloud as well as the typical bug fixes with every new version.

Swype costs RM3.15 to purchase and if you want to give it a go, you can download its trial version here.
