Microsoft employees around the world to get Windows Phone 7

A resident Microsoft pundit from ZDNet US retweeted a tweet from a Microsoft employee saying that “every single Microsoft employee will get a Windows Phone 7” device.

By “every single”, sources are saying that this means every Microsoft employee around the world (over 90,000 employees), and by around the world we assume that this will very well include Malaysia as well.

What does this mean? It means Microsoft is going big with the Windows Phone 7 platform, but that’s a given. What is interesting to note is that if the dogfooding is done simultaneously across all the Microsoft offices around the world, then it would mean that the Windows Phone 7 could reach Malaysia as early as October.

If this is indeed true that things will get very, very interesting indeed. We’ve seen demos of the Windows Phone 7 and it looks good. There’s a lot of potential for the platform but as always, the proof is in eating the pudding and we’ll be right at the front of the line when Microsoft does announce that the Windows Phone 7 is coming to Malaysia.

Who’s going to bet that Maxis will be the first telco to offer Maxis Phone 7 plan bundle?
