Apple announced a major update to its Creator Studio suite on Tuesday, introducing built-in video templates and new artificial intelligence tools across Mac, iPad and iPhone.

Launching in November, the update integrates MotionVFX content and a newly curated stock asset Content Hub directly into Final Cut Pro. The release also brings natural-language generative AI capabilities to Pixelmator Pro and an OpenAI-powered assistant to Logic Pro, consolidating third-party plugins and AI features directly within Apple’s native applications.

Native MotionVFX and Pixelmator round-tripping for Final Cut Pro

For video professionals, Final Cut Pro for Mac now natively integrates MotionVFX. This addition provides users with built-in access to thousands of visual effects, templates, titles and transitions alongside tools for rotoscoping and color grading. Apple also introduced a new Content Hub directly within Final Cut Pro, offering a curated library of stock video, photos and backgrounds to supplement active projects.

Cross-app functionality has been expanded through seamless round-trip editing between Final Cut Pro and Pixelmator Pro. Editors can now open timeline images directly in Pixelmator Pro, apply edits and have the changes automatically sync back to their video project without needing to export and reimport files. Additional workflow updates to Final Cut Pro include 23 new transcription languages, expanded keyframe easing options for animation control and the ability to disconnect clips from the primary storyline.

These updates also extend to Apple’s accompanying video software. Motion now features built-in MotionVFX plugins for 3D camera tracking and cinematic color grading as well as a new Displacement filter. Meanwhile, Compressor has been updated to support encoding for Cinematic mode video recorded on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo.

Pixelmator Pro gets prompt-based Generate Fill

In the image editing space, Pixelmator Pro introduces a new feature called “Generate Fill.” The tool allows users to alter specific areas of an image using natural language text prompts. Users can select a portion of an image using Pixelmator Pro’s existing tools such as Free Selection, Quick Selection, or Magnetic Selection and type a description of the desired change.

According to Apple, the software uses artificial intelligence to automatically match the lighting, perspective and texture of the surrounding environment so the generated edits blend into the original image. Additionally, the feature utilises built-in Super Resolution to upscale the newly generated content, maintaining image sharpness. The generated elements can be inserted as new layers with intelligent masking for further refinement or merged directly into existing layers.

Logic Pro adds OpenAI-powered assistant and isolated drum splitting

Apple’s audio production software, Logic Pro for Mac and iPad, is receiving both an interface overhaul and new AI-driven tools. The update introduces a new “Liquid Glass” design aesthetic and a new Intelligent Assistant, currently in beta. Powered by a combination of Apple-built models and OpenAI, the assistant allows producers to navigate workflows, start new projects or configure vocal tracks using text-based prompts.

Asset management within the software has also been updated with a redesigned Browser. The Browser utilises an on-device audio analysis tool to automatically classify and tag imported sounds, simplifying the process of searching through sound libraries. Additionally, Apple has upgraded Logic Pro’s Stem Splitter feature, enabling users to isolate, replace or rebalance individual drum parts directly from a mixed audio track without requiring the original multitracks.

The Logic Pro update also includes a new Producer Pack from Grammy-winning artist Sergio George, providing users with authentic Latin jazz and salsa loops. For mobile audio capture, a new Voice Memo Studio Sound feature allows users to reduce background noise and room ambiance on recordings made with supported iPhone models.

Keynote, Pages and Numbers gain document automation with MCP

Beyond audio and video production, Apple is extending its new AI capabilities to its core productivity applications. Keynote, Pages, and Numbers will now feature beta versions of AI assistants designed to understand document context and assist users with document creation.

For advanced users focused on streamlining tasks, the update introduces support for Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable cross-app workflow automation. Additionally, these productivity applications will now have access to stock video assets through the newly integrated Content Hub alongside a selection of new premium themes and templates.

Apple Creator Studio Malaysia pricing

The updates to Apple Creator Studio will launch on the App Store this November 2026 as a free update for existing subscribers. Standalone, one-time-purchase versions of the applications on the Mac App Store including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro will also receive the updates.

Apple noted that the new intelligent assistants across Logic Pro, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers will initially arrive in beta in U.S. English, requiring Apple Intelligence-compatible devices running macOS 27, iOS 27 or iPadOS 27. Model Context Protocol (MCP) support will be exclusive to Mac devices running macOS 27. With this release, Apple further consolidates third-party creative utilities and generative AI tools into a single ecosystem workflow.

For new subscribers in Malaysia, Apple Creator Studio is priced at RM29.90 per month or RM299 per year, with a one-month free trial.

University students and educators can subscribe to the education tier for RM9.90 per month or RM99 per year. Customers purchasing a new Mac or eligible iPad receive three months of complimentary access.
